Hi all,
In our facility, we’ve had to deal with a specific issue of Confocal.nl devices. Those devices have a controller that directly modulates the lasers and triggers the camera. The device has a bypass mode, meaning it could be combined with other modalities, but the controller is still hardware-wired to the lasers and cameras.
To circumvent this problem, we’ve designed a rudimentary PCB such that one can electronic switch between two different input signals for the lasers and camera.
All the details are in this repository: GitHub - Omnistic/aion_bypass_pcb · GitHub.
It is still early to say, but so far its been working nicely to incorporate an iLas2 FRAP/TIRF unit.
Also, because of MOQ, I still have 4 PCBs that I most likely won’t be using. If you come around Zurich (Switzerland) and want one let me know (it is not worth sending as the price per PCB is roughly 6USD…).
Take care,
Omni
