Setting up P-721 PIFOC Piezo objective scanner with PI E-709 CRG controller in Micro-Manager

Hey all,

I’m trying to set up a P-721 PIFOC Piezo objective scanner with an E-709 CRG controller from PI in Micro-Manager. It works fine with the manufacturer’s software (PIMikroMove) but Micro-Manager doesn’t find the controller.

The controller is listed under the PI_GCS_2 module in the hardware config wizard. The controller is connected and on, but I get the following error: “Error in device “E-709”: Serial command failed. Is the device connected to the serial port? (14)”

Anyone used this combination before or have suggestions for what I might try?

Is the device connected to the serial port, and are the serial port settings correct? If so, contact PI, they actively support their devices o work under Micro-Manager.
