Connecting Nikon re-branded Mosaic3 DMD

Problem: We are having challenges connecting our Nikon re-branded Mosaic3 DMD.

Our DMD:

  • TI-LA-DMD. It is essentially Andor Mosaic3, but with slight modifications with optics to make it compatible with Nikon Ti-E’s L-APP system. With the modifications, Nikon re-branded the DMD as TI-LA-DMD.
  • DMD is connected to our computer via PCIe.

Problem details:

  • For whatever reason, Nikon discontinued their partnership with Andor and no longer supports our TI-LA-DMD.
  • When we updated our Windows (from 7 to 10) to install version 5.xx of NIS-E, the DMD is no longer recognized by the computer.

We have tried:

  • Installing “Andor Mosaic 3 driver pack” and “Andor Mosiac 3 PCIe card driver” in Win 7 compatibility mode.
  • Bypassing the PCIe card by Thunderbolt to SFP+ adaptor
  • These procedures unfortunately didn’t solve the problem.

Has anyone with the Nikon-rebranded DMD managed to connect the DMD to Windows 10. Any other suggestions or advice are greatly appreciated Thanks!
