Non-glycerol mounting medium?

I’m using membrane dyes (DHCC and DiD-C18) to image nuclear membranes in Xenopus egg extract. Currently I’m using a glycerol-based mounting medium, but I’m concerned that the glycerol is leaching away some of the dye from the membranes. Documentation that came with the dyes recommends using a non-glycerol-based mounting medium to deal with this issue. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I love Dako from Agilent for most purposes. It does dry, so you might get compression, but it’s much less than what I used to get with other mounting media. We found that it was the best media for maintaining the fluorescence signal in phalloidin stained cells, which also can leach into standard glycerol media.
