we inherited a Nikon Ti that we then modified for our needs. However, we have a free excitation port and epi illumination would be nice for locating the sample etc. Do you know of a budget way to add epi illumination module?
By “excitation port”, did you mean the port at the back? If so it should be very easy to add a LED light source (either white light or colored light) there. Many companies offer such products, such as Lumencor and AVR Optics and some other names I can remember now.
