Is anyone aware of any plugins or methods for displaying a crosshair in the Live View? I had a quick look online but couldn’t find anything other than an old post with a broken link.

In the Image-Inspector (the window containing the histograms), click on Overlays, then Guide Patterns. There are a couple of different crosshairs and targets you can choose from, and you can set their size. This is all in 2.0 (I believe that 1.4 had a plugin for this purpose).
