Anyone know of any options for open-source control software for laser-scanning microscopes? It seems as those the opensource version of scanimage has been more or less scrubbed from the internet and is not supported at any rate.
Depends on the make and model of your microscope does it support Micro-Manager or python-microscope? Does your microscope come with a SDK? I have made a C# program BioImager for automating microscopes including automation of GUI components, to work with the manufacturers own imaging software. Let me know if I can help in any way.

The microscope frame supports micromanager. I’ve not tried python-microscope. I’m looking for software to control and sync the laser scanning (galvo-galvo system) that I am building to add on to the microscope.
