Join us for the first BioImage Archive User Forum

Dear all,

We are excited to announce the first BioImage Archive User Forum, to be held virtually on 2024-01-09T14:00:00Z2024-01-09T15:30:00Z.

The aim of the BioImage Archive User Forum is to foster an open dialogue among our community of users, facilitating discussions on challenges and opportunities, and a collective vision for the future of biological imaging and the BioImage Archive’s contributions.

Please fill out the registration form to join us and learn about the new and upcoming developments, share insights, and actively contribute to the evolution of the BioImage Archive.

Agenda:

  • Introduction (5 min):
    • A brief kick-off to set the stage for the forum and outline the objectives.
  • External Talk: WebAtlas by Tong Li (5 min):
    • Short presentation on the WebAtlas project and BioImage Archive collaboration.
  • Updates and Plans (25 min):
    • Short presentations on recent developments, projects, and challenges within BioImage Archive.
  • Breakout Rooms (20-30 min):
    • Dive into interactive discussions in randomly assigned breakout rooms, where we’ll explore challenges faced by users, preferences, and future directions in terms of datasets, functionalities, and added value platforms.
  • Group Reports and Open Discussions (15-20 min):
    • Summaries from breakout room discussions, followed by open discussions to capture a diverse range of perspectives.
  • Conclusions and Next Steps (10 min):
    • A wrap-up session to summarise key takeaways and discuss potential next steps, including the formation of working groups or collaborative initiatives.
