Materials Science (Metallography) with a Biological microscope

This device was developed for “epi illumination on a Biological microscope (trans illuminated)”. Since biological (compound) microscopes represent 70 to 80% of all microscopes in existence (source: ChatGPT) an accessory to allow for materials science (e.g. metallography) with the biological microscope that people already have may be well received. Used on some metal samples we have images that offer more information than what you get with a standard metallographic microscope.

This very device is also useful with transparent samples. It provides a sort of enhanced darkfield.

It is a very simple light guide and immersion oil to make optical contact. You can access the info on this device in this link:

Notice: I have a papent application on this device.

Hi Hazen,

This device doesn´t exist as a product. I applied for a patent and I expect to licence the technology. In this scenario do I have to add the commercial tag?
